A Practical Spirituality

Practical Spirituality: Contemplative Living for the Everyday Christian, with the Reverend Jane Tomaine

Ever wonder what spiritual practices the average Christian can do throughout the day to grow closer to God? Join Episcopal priest and author of St. Benedict’s Toolbox: The Nuts and Bolts of Everyday Benedictine Living, the Rev. Dr. Jane Tomaine, for a day-long retreat Saturday, September 10, 2016, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., here at St. James’s.

Jane will give a brief overview of the Rule of St. Benedict and translate it into everyday practices for contemporary Christians seeking a do-able contemplative life with God; then we’ll spend some time workshopping and learning some of the tools together. It’s a mindful way to begin the program year.

Registration for this event has closed.
